Tofu Nu Spice

Enhanced the traditional greens beans served at Thanksgiving.  Try SugarRoti's Indian inspired greens beans and tofu side dish at your next dinner event and wow your guests.

Spice Level

Ingredients:

  • 1 SugarRoti Tofu Nu Spice Package
  • 3 tablespoons olive oil or ghee (clarified butter)
  • 1lb green beans, trimmed and chopped
  • 1 medium yellow onion, finely chopped (approx. 2 cups)
  • 1 medium tomato, finely chopped (approx. 1 cup)
  • 1 16 oz firm tofu, cubed
optional
  • 1 medium serrano chili, finely chopped (remove seeds for milder spice)
  • 1/4 cup cilantro

Preparation:

  1. Heat oil in a large saucepan over medium heat. Add SugarRoti Tofu Nu Spice package and sauté until spices are sizzling and fragrant (1-2 min).
  2. Add onions, serrano and sauté until tender. Add tomato and saute (5 min).
  3. Add tofu and mix, then add the green beans and cook (5-8 min)
  4. Remove whole spices, sprinkle with cilantro and serve.
